The main author is Dr John Cheverton MA DPhil, a practising IB teacher with over 20 year's experience in the profession. He is an accredited IB workshop leader, and was a member of the Curriculum Review Committee responsible for the current version of the syllabus. He is a regular book reviewer for the Institute of Biology and contributor on the 'L-Biotutor' e-mail discussion list. His research on bumblebees was used as an IB textbook example, and he has written papers for the Schools Science Review and Journal of Biological Education.
